A Life in Bloom Born in Copenhagen on 12 August 1799, Hermania Sigvardine Neergaard grew up in the home of a merchant, Hans Peter Neergaard. Her path toward the canvas began under the guidance of Frederik Christian Camradt at his drawing and painting school.
